Jane Lipton Cafritz

Jane Lipton Cafritz is a real estate developer and former tax attorney. She currently serves on the boards of the Smithsonian Institution, the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington National Opera, the Blair House and the Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation. She is a member of the National Gallery of Art Collector’s Committee.  She is a past Chairman of the Washington National Opera, which became affiliated with the Kennedy Center under her tenure. She is also a past Secretary of the National Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors.

Rhonda Buckley-Bishop, President and CEO of the Explore! Children’s Museum, has served as the associate dean for outreach and engagement at the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Music and the executive director of its two Community Music Schools. Prior to her role at MSU, she was founder and longtime executive director of the Sitar Arts Center, a community arts center that serves at-risk youth and families in Washington, DC, where she received numerous awards for her work as a nonprofit leader.  She received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Master of Music in Saxophone Performance degree, both from MSU, and a graduate degree in business from the University of Maryland University College.  She has also been a Fellow in the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders-Arts, Stanford Graduate School of Management. Buckley-Bishop has served as director of instrumental music at Central Florida Community College in Ocala, Florida and as a woodwind specialist for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She has performed with the Virginia Chamber Orchestra, Central Florida Symphony and the Brooklyn Heights Orchestra.

Irina rubensteiN

Irina Rubenstein joins Explore! with a variety of experiences in the museum field, and a passion for museum education and culture. Before joining the team, Irina earned her Master's of Science from the University of Edinburgh in Social Anthropology. She has worked at the National Geographic Museum, and interned with The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, StoryCorps, The Textile Museum, and the Smithsonian’s Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
Mission Mobile Manager

MArk Mumm

Mark Mumm, originally hailing from The Queen City: Buffalo, NY, is thrilled to be strapping into the Flight Director chair as Mission Mobile Manager with Explore!. A longtime lover and supporter of the arts, he has two Bachelor’s degrees from SUNY at Buffalo (B.A. Video Production and B.A. Theatre Performance) and a Master’s in Theatre for Young Audiences from Rose Bruford College in (the greater) London (area), UK. Mark has worked directly providing drama education and facilitation with children of all abilities. Ever the creative type, Mark plays guitar and also writes music, poetry, scripts, and the occasional motivational text message.

Tiffany Sorenson

Tiffany Sorenson comes to Explore! as a devoted office administrator as well as being a Infant Sign Language teacher in her spare time. She has her Master’s in Public Administration from Old Dominion University with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. She also spent a year with Operation Smile, traveling to Kenya in her work. Her passions include early education enrichment and achieving her personal travel goal to visit all seven continents.
