The next big step for creating a DC Children's Museum, Explore! with the National Portrait Gallery brings a dedicated children's exhibit to downtown. Created in collaboration with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, the hands-on Portrait Exhibit is open seven days a week from 11:30am-7:00pm. Family Festivals!
Explore! Children's Museum, with support from DCCAH and local artists, provides art, music and science activities to our community. This has included dance workshops, science demos and a variety of arts and humanities activities.
We have hosted over a dozen free children's festivals in our Fort Totten neighborhood. More event info can be found at the Art Place website.
